Nation Job E-mail DeliveryNationJob
was formed back in 1988 as the National Employment Wire Services
Corporation (N.E.W.S.). Since the Internet was mostly unknown at that
time, they set up computer workstations in college career centers. Job
seekers used these work stations to find current national job postings.
At its peak, NEWS had over 400 workstation sites in the US and in
Europe. By the mid 90s, “Internet” had become a
household word and viable for business. In 1994 NationJob hired
Leepfrog to help them offer online services through a protocol called
gopher, and to help keep their clients up-to-date on job opportunities.
Through this relationship, they became the first job search site to
e-mail custom weekly job search updates to job seekers. Leepfrog’s E-mail Services With
the help of Leepfrog Technologies, NationJob was the first national
employment service to provide weekly customized mailings to job
seekers. They set the standard and preempted other sites such as
Monster, HotJobs, and Career Builder by at least two years. Leepfrog continues to handle most of the e-mail that NationJob produces. In
all, we send e-mail to about half of NationJob’s one million
users each week. All the mail is generated within three hours. And at
NationJob’s request, that e-mail is then delivered gradually over
the course of the weekend. Customized Mail NationJob
customizes e-mail based on each user’s unique preferences. This
includes such things as job type, zip code (for job proximity), keyword
searching, company filters, and so on. This e-mail is then merged with
ads that are managed by the client, and is rapidly created and
delivered to the end user. The mail generation engine cranks out over
500 e-mails a second. Why Leepfrog? Nationjob
has worked with Leepfrog since 1994, and continues to do so because of
our competitive pricing, reliable delivery, and unique end-to-end
management. Our service just works, week in and week out. Back to Top
