At the end of this part of the process, you will be supplied
with your completed product, as well as user manuals, a training
session and complete integration.
ImplementationAt the beginning of the implementation phase, the client pays
one-third of the cost of the software, and Leepfrog works
collaboratively with the client to develop the software to the
evolving requirements based on the design document; the design is
updated collaboratively as the software is better understood during
implementation and initial user testing. The implementation phase
concludes when Leepfrog has developed a product that meets the
software requirements and has completed alpha (programmer)
testing.
CompletionAt the beginning of the completion phase, the client pays the
second third of the cost of the software. More extensive beta
testing and client feedback is performed and the software is
'tweaked' to provide better user experiences. Additional features
should not be added at this point, unless they are needed in order
to meet the software's objectives. The completion phase continues
until the client is satisfied that the software performs to the
standards described in the design document. Where appropriate,
installation procedures, training manuals, and final documentation
are produced during this phase.
Production
At the beginning of the production phase, the client pays the
final third of the cost of the software, and the software is
released into production for end users. Any surprises that crop up
at this phase are handled by making as minimal changes to the
software as possible in order to resolve the issues. The production
phase is concluded when the software has been deployed effectively
to the end customer and is being used in a routine manner. Continue reading about the rest of Leepfrog's software methodology process here:
