Methodology
- Phase IV
   Maintenance

Internet software has a 'shelf life', on average, of about three years from entry of the production phase. Ongoing maintenance and product improvement is important to a product's life cycle, including enhancements to take advantage of new browser features, understanding, and possibly addressing, new security vulnerabilities as they are discovered, and integration into other packages. Many Leepfrog solutions have a well-established maintenance cost, which is designed to continually refresh the solution so that it remains a great user experience without becoming dated. At the beginning of the project, support and maintenance costs are unknown.
