Internet software has a 'shelf life', on average, of about three
years from entry of the production phase. Ongoing maintenance and
product improvement is important to a product's life cycle,
including enhancements to take advantage of new browser features,
understanding, and possibly addressing, new security
vulnerabilities as they are discovered, and integration into other
packages. Many Leepfrog solutions have a well-established
maintenance cost, which is designed to continually refresh the
solution so that it remains a great user experience without
becoming dated. At the beginning of the project,
