Page Body Editor
As familiar as your favorite word processing program, PageLeaf's
body editor (screenshot) helps you add
content without needing to know any HTML. It is a WYSWIG (what you
see is what you get) interface, which means that the way the page
content looks within the page body editor will be the same way that
it looks on the finished web page.
Image Gallery
Rich photographs and artwork enhance web experiences. You know
that you want to add an image to your page, but you don't have an
appropriate picture in a web-appropriate format. With PageLeaf's
Image Gallery, adding images to your pages is as easy as selecting
an image from a list.
PageLeaf supports a centralized image library which your
webmaster keeps stocked with approved images. These images are
sorted into categories that are relevant to your site, and are
automatically sized to a heighth and width that is appropriate to
your site's template. When you're ready to insert an image, just
select one from the image library, indicate your formatting
preferences (such as how the image is placed on the page, if you'd
like to include a caption, etc.) and you're done.
Spell Check
Don't let misspelled words ruin the credibility of your site. A
specialized spell-check function is automatically included within
PageLeaf's Body Editor.
Section Links
Frequently, a site is divided into major sections, and each page
in a section has consistent links to other pages in the same
section - links which are "global" to every page within the
section. Once the page author selects a section in the "Set Up"
step, a page can have sectional links automatically added. These
links are maintained by the site or section administrator, and are
not maintained on a page-by-page basis. By using the pre-set
section links, if your webmaster changes any of the the sectional
links, then any of your pages that are a part of that section will
automatically get new links.
Forms
Frequently, authors wish to collect simple information from
their visitors and have this information collected or sent to them
in email. Instead of strict guidelines regarding form creation in
other authoring tools, the PageLeaf's Feedback Form provides an
easy-to-complete way to create simple forms. The user can ask a
number of questions with responses in text fields, check boxes,
pull-down lists, and text areas, and can specify who the results
are mailed to. Optional modules allow for database capturing of the
submitted information. A very powerful feature that is very easy to
use, the Feedback Form is a popular step to add to a page
design.
Drag and Drop
You've already collected pages of information in another
application that you'd like to add to your web page. Rather than
retyping all that work, by utilizing PageLeaf's Drag and Drop
feature all you have to do is select the text you'd like to copy,
drag it into the frame of the Page Body Editor, and drop. This
copies all of the selected text and pastes it directly into
PageLeaf.
HTML TidyOccasionally when formatted text is copied into PageLeaf from
another application, it can bring unneccesary and messy HTML code
with it. The good news is that you can clean up your code without
having to know any HTML by using PageLeaf's HTML Tidy function.
HTML Tidy is a one-click process that ensures your webpage will
look and function smoothly
