ChuckVision! Brintles, and Cayman, Now and Then.

Denise, Stephanie, Lee, and Ken took off for North Carolina.
No wedding, but we got to meet Lee Brintle's wonderful parents, and
saw plenty of waterfalls ... which were less shy than his parents.

Okay, this isn't North Carolina, but it IS Stephanie and Amelia, and it's cute. Denise shows off a very pretty waterfall.
The whole waterfall ... picturesque! The area around the waterfalls was really lush.
These striations, at a waterfall by a restaurant we stopped at, were gorgeuos.

Back to the beaches.

This trip it was Dawn, Amelia, Stephanie, Denise, Lee, and Ken.
No wedding, no week-long trip, just going somewhere familiar (Cayman) and warm for a long weekend.
Too bad Cayman doesn't have beach-front time-shares or something...

The search for good conch marinade was arduous. It took us nearly every meal.
Turtles have to be just sick of us tourists. And they grow 'em big in Cayman.
This time, we decided to take a horsey-ride while there. .. you may notice, these horse-back shots are a bit pedestrian.
This is the only shot while on the beach. The others didn't take. Cayman still has gorgeous sunsets. (Find the snorkeller).

ChuckVision! Wedding .

Stephanie, Denise, Jana, Kathy, StephanLee's parents, Lee, Erick,
and Ken went on a wedding trip in Grand Cayman in September '00.
A return trip for some, it was beautiful even before the wedding.
Have a peek, and look here for a lot more photos . . .

Tying the knot? Lee removes the incriminating lipstick.
Jana and Erick in a touching moment. Blurry but beautiful bride.
The only shot of Scott and Dawn was a good one. Smiley.
This being Chuckvision!, I couldn't ignore both Ken and Denise. . . . . .I just ignored Ken.
Fathers. Lee's parents. Lee is thinking, "man, it is hot."

Once the wedding was over, the camera shutter really started clicking.

It took a while for the "please finish the ceremony" look to leave Lee's face. Uncle and nephew. The smile came more naturally in the air-conditioning.
Bride and parents. Bride's parents with the couple.
It looks like Kathy (Lee's sister) is wearing some sort of laurel. New sisters.
Daughter-mother Wedding party.
A good wedding cake picture. . . .and another.
The sunset just got prettier... ...and prettier.
. The outdoor dinner had a great view.

ChuckVision! Dog Days in the Tropics.

Denise, Lee, Ken, and Stephanie visited Grand Cayman in October '98.
It was fun for us danger-loving thrill-seeking types. As most people know,
flying stingrays are a constant menace to vacationers in the Caribbean.
Here are a few shots of our encounters with a pack of marauding rays.

Denise fearlessly herds the venomous and dangerous stingrays. Ken is attacked by a vicious flying stingray... (Which had just landed in the water. Just then. You just missed it.)
Stephanie swims furiously to avoid the terrible death blows of the wild rays... Lee looks on in horror as a ray sucks the very life out of Ken...

The trip wasn't all danger and no fun, though :

This guy was a little more skittish than the rays who were used to being fed by tourists (see above). Okay, our camera wasn't big enough to capture all of this sea turtle. They grow to be seven feet long and several hundred pounds.
Lee and Stephanie pose in a used Beatles paraphenalia lot... Denise, about to release a rare flying turtle...
Angel fish liked Denise's bright yellow diving mask a lot. It was charming. . .usually. It's a comfort to know that, if you get blown out to sea and drown, at least the parachute's owners can be called to recover their property.
These sergeant-major fish were everywhere. Well, underwater mostly. The sunsets were spectacular.
Esther Williams. This one was taken just after the camera's photo size got stuck. The photographer chose between the sky and my legs.
